چکیده

Abstract Background Changing of different denture base materials colours could have a detrimental impact on patients' satisfaction and make them seek more frequent adjustments to their prosthesis; hence this study was conducted investigate the colour stability conventional polymer (PMMA) polyamides. Methods Specimens PMMA thermoplastic polyamides were constructed according manufacturer instructions utilized during current study. For test total 80 specimens with dimensions 40 mm (length) X 20 (width) 0.8 (thicknesses), in divided into two equal groups ( n = 40) (PMMA specimens). Results When compared polymethyl methacrylate resin, polyamid resin exhibited greatest change P 0.001). 7 30 days, both had value tea solution. One-Way ANOVA < 0.00001). Conclusions Within limitation vitro study, we found that heat-cure has significant higher when Polyamides after immersion tea, cola, coffee distilled water solutions for days.

Characterization of multiwalled carbon nanotube-polymethyl methacrylate composite resins as denture base materials.

STATEMENT OF PROBLEM Most fractures of dentures occur during function, primarily because of the flexural fatigue of denture resins. PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to evaluate a polymethyl methacrylate denture base material modified with multiwalled carbon nanotubes in terms of fatigue resistance, flexural strength, and resilience. MATERIAL AND METHODS Denture resin specimens were fab...

A comparative evaluation of impact strength of conventionally heat cured and high impact heat cured polymethyl methacrylate denture base resins: an in vitro study.

UNLABELLED The denture bases made by using polymethyl methacrylates of Acrylic resin family have excellent physical properties, simple to process and easy to reline, rebase and repair. One of the inherent disadvantages of this material is the liability to break during function. The strength assessment of acrylic resins have been made generally by transverse defection tests. AIM To evaluate th...

in Vitro Wear Resistance of Three Types of Polymethyl Methacrylate Denture Teeth

The wear resistance of denture teeth is important to the longevity of removable prostheses of edentulous patients. The ability of denture teeth to maintain a stable occlusal relationship over time may be influenced by this property. The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate the wear resistance of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) denture teeth based on their chemical composition when oppo...
